A Patient Story
My stenosis began several years ago as a mild ache in my lower back (L4-L5). I’m active and very athletic, having played high school and college football. I’m a runner, and I noticed that my aching became more intense, especially running up inclines, stairs, etc. and that the pain was slowing down my stride.
The pain worsened in February of last year. I also developed osteoarthritis in my lower back, and I had to quit running as a result. Following six months of chiropractic care, I finally decided to have an MRI and discovered that I had severe foraminal stenosis of L4 and L5. I was referred to Dr. Herceg at Orthopedic ONE. Dr. Herceg knew what I needed to do to get better, a laminectomy with spinal fusion. He was very professional in explaining the procedure, as well as what to expect after surgery.
My back pain has been resolved thanks to Dr. Herceg, CeCe, and the wonderful people at Orthopedic ONE! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
