Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program at Orthopedic One
The mission of the Orthopedic ONE Sports Physical Therapy Residency is to provide quality post-professional education to prepare the physical therapist resident to become a specialist in the area of sports physical therapy while providing enhanced patient care with a specific emphasis in acute injury management of athletic injuries across the lifespan.
Curriculum
Clinical Practice
- One on one mentoring 5 hours/week
- Non-mentored 25 hours/week
- 10+ hours in professional soccer club
- Sports coverage in community
Didactic
- Weekly Learning Modules 1 hour/week’
- Journal Club 1 hour/month
- CSM 24 hours/year
- Physician shadowing/surgery observation
- Independent study

Application Process
Applications should be completed through the American Physical Therapy Association’s centralized application system (RF-PTCA). Top candidates will be interviewed at Orthopedic One November – January.
Admission Criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
- Licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Ohio
- Successful completion of on-line application
Application deadline: June 9, 2025
