Dr. Neelay Thakkar is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician who completed additional fellowship training in Interventional Pain. Dr. Thakkar specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of non-operative spine disorders, interventional spine procedures, and electrodiagnostic medicine. He has special interest in sports medicine, as well as neuromodulation treatment including spinal cord stimulation. Our PM&R physicians work collaboratively with our team of Orthopedic Surgeons to treat patients with disabling conditions using minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Thakkar received his undergraduate degree from The University of Akron and attended medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency, where he served as Clinical Chief Resident, and his fellowship training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Dr. Thakkar stays active and enjoys playing golf, basketball and tennis. He lives in Grandview with his wife, Renuka, and their young son.
