Dr. Kelvin Luu is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in sports medicine, shoulder arthroplasty, and arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He has specific interests in complex shoulder arthroplasty, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repair, hip preservation, ACL reconstruction, patellar instability, and knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Luu has a track record of excellence through his education and training. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his orthopedic residency at Mount Carmel Health System where he earned multiple awards for clinical excellence. Dr. Luu remains dedicated to the training of new surgeons and serves as the Assistant Program Director of the Mount Carmel Health System Orthopedic Surgery Residency. Dr. Luu then completed fellowship training under renowned faculty at the University of North Carolina-Raleigh Orthopedic Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship.
He currently serves as an Official Orthopedic Physician of the Pro Volleyball Federation’s Columbus Fury. Dr. Luu previously cared for athletes while serving as team physician for the UNC Men’s Basketball, NC State Football, and NC State Wrestling teams.
Dr. Luu returns to Columbus to work at Orthopedic ONE bringing the most up-to-date sports medicine surgical techniques in care of the shoulder, hip, and knee. As a sports medicine specialist, he is keenly focused on providing complete orthopedic care for patients and athletes at all activity levels. “I am passionate about serving my community and helping my patients get their life back.”
