John A. Johansen, M.D.

Shoulder and Knee Surgery

Dr. Johansen is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive knee and shoulder surgery.

A Columbus native, Dr. Johansen received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and performed his orthopedic residency at Georgetown University followed by an extensive shoulder and elbow fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Johansen is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive knee and shoulder surgery.

A Columbus native, Dr. Johansen received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and performed his orthopedic residency at Georgetown University followed by an extensive shoulder and elbow fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. During this time, he served as an assistant team physician for the Georgetown University football team and the Baltimore Orioles. An undergraduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Johansen was a member of the men’s tennis team where he was an Academic All-American.
