Dr. Fuhrman earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, then completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. She then completed orthopedic residency at Allegheny Health Network and additional fellowship-training in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle.

She is dedicated to advancing orthopedic knowledge and techniques and has presented at major conferences including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Scientific Meeting. She is an active member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).

In her free time, Dr. Fuhrman finds joy in living an active lifestyle, engaging in activities like running, golfing, ballet and spending time with her family.
