Dr. V. Brandon Thompson is board-certified in the following specialties: physical medicine and rehabilitation, electrodiagnostic medicine and sports medicine. His broad medical expertise allows him to diagnose and treat a patient’s disabling conditions throughout their lifetime with medications and minimally invasive procedures, focusing on returning patients to their maximum independent function. Dr. Thompson’s main areas of interest include spine disorders, minimally invasive spine procedures, sports medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine.
Following his undergraduate studies at DePauw University, Dr. Thompson pursued both a master’s degree in physiology at Indiana University and a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his medical residency at The Ohio State University Department of Physical Medicine where he served as chief resident.
Prior to joining Orthopedic One, Dr. Thompson was in private practice and served as the Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation at Mount Carmel Health System.
Dr. Thompson, his wife and four children enjoy many outdoor extracurricular pursuits which include baseball, biking, exercising, boating and fishing.
He is available to see patients at our Gahanna/Reynoldsburg location, where he has access to MRI, physical therapy, x-ray and state-of-the-art fluoroscopy equipment.
